The proposed masterplan for Villa Sports promotes development of a best practice standard in the local community.

Although the primary focus is on football, a variety of sports and recreation activities are promoted in order to create a diverse range of activities and user groups.

The idea is to provide the area with sufficient facilities to meet a large demand for growth through sport. The club and proposed auxiliary buildings will therefore serve as a community centre or node. The football club’s central location in the neighbourhood and multiple access points supplement its function as a hub of activity.

Development includes upgrade of existing change-room facilities with the addition of a multi-purpose indoor sports hall, parking and an upgraded pitch.
